Announcement on optimum energy-saving technologies and optimum energy-saving practices

The International Partnership for Energy Efficiency Cooperation was initiated by the joint effort between G8 and China, South Korea, Brazil, Mexico and India, which currently has 17 members. The National Development and Reform Commission participates in IPEEC activities as China’s representative, and has established IPEEC secretariat in China (particularly located in China Quality Certification Center). China has initiated to IPEEC the “optimum energy-saving technology and optimum energy-saving practices” evaluation and promotion program (referred to as “Shuang Shijia”).

 

In 2015, China together with Australia, Japan and US released the first batch of international “Shuang Shijia” list, which received widespread responses in the international community. In 2016, G20 summit in Hangzhou approved and released G20 Energy Efficiency Leading Plan, which incorporated the Shuang Shijia as a key area of energy efficiency cooperation. In 2017, China together with relevant countries started the second round of international Shuang Shijia selection, and is currently asking member countries to recommend Shuang Shijia lists from their own respective countries. In the end, the second batch of international Shuang Shijia list will be selected based on appraisal done according to appraisal method agreed on through consultation, which list will then be publicized and promoted in the international community.

 

Based on recommendations by various locations, various industries, and entities, we have selected 10 optimum energy-saving technologies and 10 optimum energy-saving practices from the industrial area and the building area, which we intend to submit to the IPEEC team to participate in international Shuang Shijia selection. The 10 optimum technologies and 10 optimum practices have been publicized (see the attachment). The publication period is from June 12, 2018 to June 19.
